Student with Myopia in Asia Rises

More than 90 percent of children who left school in the cities of Asia had myopia or myopic eyes, according to one study. The researchers said the sharp increase in this problem because too many school students learn in school and at home so that the lack of sunlight outside.

The scientists said in the journal The Lancet, that one in five students can suffer eye damage and even blindness. They say the free time, the students also spend more time playing computer games and watching television at home.

Researchers say students should spend at least three hours a day to stimulate the production of dopamine, a chemical that prevents children having myopia.

According to Professor Ian Morgan, of the Australian National University who led the study, the average number of myopia in East Asia before about 20-30 per cent. "What we have done in the study of writing is all the evidence suggests that something extraordinary happened in East Asia in the last two generations," said Morgan told the BBC.

Experts say eye disorder where vision is impaired myopia over a distance of two meters. Based on research, the causes of these eye disorders due to various factors, due to the demands of education and lack of outside light.

Professor Morgan said many children in Southeast Asia spent a long time studying in school and doing homework.
